Job Description:

Sky Sight Inc. is looking for a talented and detail-oriented individual for the firm's Senior Architectural Designer role (Full-time, Permanent). As a Senior Architectural Designer, you will work on variety of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, coordinate, and manage architectural drawings and documentation using Revit and CAD software
• Collaborate with team members to create accurate and detailed design solutions
• Ensure adherence to local building codes, industry standards, and client requirements
• Provide mentorship, supervision, and technical support to architectural designers, technologists, and other team members, as required
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve design and technical challenges
• Maintain and update project files, libraries, and templates

Requirements:

• An accredited Diploma or Degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology
• Minimum of 5+ years industry experience at an Architecture, Engineering or Construction (AEC) firm working with the Ontario Building Code (OBC)
• Expert knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk Revit (BIM)
• Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) parts 3 & 9 and construction detailing
• Experience preparing highly-detailed construction documentation for single and multi-family residential dwellings, as well as, small-scale commercial and mixed-use projects
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, File Management, and Project Management tools
• Excellent communication and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Willingness to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends, if required)

Assets:

• Current member of Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario (AATO) and/or Ontario Association of Architects (OAA)
• Completion of Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) Building Code Identification Number (BCIN) Examinations: House, Small Buildings, and Legal
• Experience in photorealistic 3D Rendering using Epic Games Twinmotion
• Experience with Autodesk AEC Collection (AutoCAD, ReCap Pro, Navisworks, Civil3D, etc.)
• Experience working with LiDAR point cloud data and 3D photogrammetry models (reality capture) of buildings and sites
• Experience conducting site visits
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $70,000 to $90,000 per year (commensurate with experience), plus bonus
