Mehboob Bangash Architects required a Building Information Model (BIM) for the renovation of an IHOP restaurant in Vaughan. Utilizing a combination of ground-based LIDAR sensors and drone technology, we conducted thorough scans of both the interior and exterior, producing an accurate point cloud and a detailed 3D model for documentation and collaborative purposes. Using the LIDAR data, our architectural technologist created a detailed Revit BIM of the existing building and topography, as well as as-built AutoCAD floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, roof plan, and site plan. This comprehensive package provided Mehboob and his team with precise building and site measurements and data to jumpstart their project.
