To first get started, open your internet browser (Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge etc.) and go to https://tour.skysight.ca/en/login. Login using the username and password provided to you.
Welcome to your Dashboard where you can access all your 3D Virtual Tours under My Skins in the upper left corner.
There are two ways to open the 3D Virtual Tour editor. The first option is to simply click on the name of the 3D Virtual Tour. The second option is to click on the yellow pencil icon.
The Cover/Title Settings is where you can change the cover photo, name and Favicon of the 3D Virtual Tour. To change the Title name, click in the Title field box.
To change the Cover image, click on the Choose File button on the right-side. This will open a window where you can find and select your image file. This gives you the option to upload an individual cover image for your tour, varying from the 3D Virtual Tour starting point.
Cover Image: A cover image refers to the first static image that a user sees when they are presented with a preview or thumbnail of the tour. This image is typically chosen to represent the most attractive or interesting aspect of the tour, and is used to entice the user to click and start exploring the virtual space. The cover image can be a 3D render of a key room or location, or it can be a photograph taken from the tour that best showcases the tour's highlights. In either case, the cover image serves as a visual hook that draws the user in and encourages them to engage with the virtual tour.
The Logo Settings is where you can change the position of the logo, the image or link, the width, and the distance from top and bottom.
To change the Logo image, click on the Choose File button on the right-side. This will open a window where you can find and select your image file.
To change the Favicon image, click on the Choose File button on the right-side. This will open a window where you can find and select your image file.
Favicon: Also known as a shortcut icon, website icon, tab icon, URL icon, or bookmark icon, is a file containing one or more small icons associated with a particular website or web page.
The Music Settings is where you can add or change the audio/music, adjust the volume, toggle the audio on or off, and choose if you want the audio to loop.
To change the Audio/Music file, click on the Choose File button on the right-side. This will open a window where you can find and select your image file.
The Entry popup allows you to start your tour with a 360° image, HTML popup, welcome photo, or something else.
To create a new menu item, click on the green plus button that says New on the left-side.
The Menu is where you edit the information and media that appears on the menu of the 3D Virtual Tour. A full customizable menu with no limits for your creativity!
Insert all the content you want: text, address, media catalogue, direct navigation using our submenu, videos, spaces, social buttons, Mattertag catalogue with search bar, and much more.
The Title/Text Tab is where you can edit the title, text, address, and toggle the Google Map to be visible or not.
The Title Link allows you to add or modify an external URL to the Title with the option to have the external link open in the Same Tab, as a Popup, or in a New Tab.
The Submenu Tabs is where you can add or modify a submenu within this menu item.
The Tag/Categories Tab allows you to toggle on or off the Tags you have create to show in this menu item and the option to have a search bar.
The Media Tab is where you can add or modify the external files that appear in that menu item (JPEG’s, PDF’s, PNG’s). To add new media file, click on the green plus button that says New. This will open a window where you can find and select your media file.
The Social Links Tab is where you can add or modify your social media links (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube etc.) and add their corresponding icons.
The Skins Tab is where you can attach other Virtual Tour Skins to this one. This is recommended if you have multiple spaces located in the same building (Connecting the main lobby of an apartment building to an apartment unit).
The Menu Settings is where you can change the menu background colour, toggle the menu activation on or off, toggle the open at start for desktop, toggle the open at start for mobile, and toggle the text direction right-to-left on or off.
In a virtual tour, a tag is a clickable hotspot or marker that is placed within the tour to provide additional information or context about a particular object or location. These tags can take various forms, such as text, images, videos, or audio, and are typically designed to provide a more immersive and interactive experience for the user.
To create a Tag, click on the green Tag Editor button on the left-side.
This will open the Tag Editor where you can add new Tags. To add a new Tags, click on the green plus button. To Preview your Tags, click on the blue search button.
Once you click on the green plus button to create a new Tag, hover over the location/spot you want the tag to be and click the area. This will create a new Tag. easy click and drop-positioning, insert every content you want: HTML, videos, audio, external links, photos for each language, quick-edit, full screen by clicking, and much more.
When you create a Tag, a new window will show up. This is where you can change the individual tag elements. The Media tab is where you can change the media type.
Media Link Target
There are three different types of Media Link Targets. The Matterport InfoPoint, Popup, and New Tab. The Matterport InfoPoint is a small window that shows up on the tour, the Popup is a larger window that shows up on the tour, and the New Tab is a new browser tab that opens when clicked on the Tag.
The Text option allows only the title and content text to be visible on your Tag. Choose this option is you are not uploading or linking any external files to your Tag.
The Photo option allows you add a singular image to your Tag. To add an image, click on the Choose File button on the right-side. This will open a window where you can find and select your image file.
The Photo Gallery option allows you showcase multiple images on your Tag. To upload an image, click on the green plus button that says new on the left-side. This will open a window where you can find and select your image file.
The Video option allows you to link a video from another platform (YouTube, Vimeo, Website etc.) to your Tag by pasting the URL into the video link field box. It does not allow you to upload a video from your files.
The Audio (MP3) option allows you to link or upload a MP3 file to your Tag. To link a MP3 file, paste the URL into the Audio (MP3) Link field box. To upload an MP3 file, click on the grey choose file button on the right-side. This will open a window where you can find and select your MP3 file.
The Rich (PDF) option allows you to link or upload a PDF to your Tag. To link a PDF file, paste the URL into the PDF Link field box. To upload an PDF file, click on the grey choose file button on the right-side. This will open a window where you can find and select your PDF file.
The Panorama option allows you to upload a panoramic photo.
The External Link allows you to link an existing external link to your Tag (Website, YouTube Channel etc.). To link your External Link, paste the URL into the External Link field box.
The Content Tab is where you can edit the title of the Tag and add text.
The Icon/Stem Tab is where you can modify the colour and icon of your tag. To change the colour, click on the Colour field box and you can either choose a colour from the colour pallet or type in the HEX code.
HEX Code: Hex codes are a hexadecimal format for identifying colours. This is a system used in HTML, CSS and SVG. Each hex code refers to a very specific colour.
The Categories Tab allows you to toggle between making that individual tag as part of a category or not. Each Tag can be manually sorted.
The Share Tab allows you to copy the unique link by clicking on the grey copy link button on the right-side.
Create a virtual exposition, stage your room with furniture or videos or hide something with an image. With our virtual staging you can insert images, videos, 3D models inside the tour. You find even a gallery with over 600 of furniture models. Further functions are colour settings, creating a solid from 2D images using depth settings and of course a click action as with the info points.
With our user management system you decide who has access. And you decide which user can manage which tasks. Create unlimited Passwords with different time limits or select how often the password could be used.
Get the view statistics of your showcase and share them via email. Or connect your tour to your or your clients’ Google Analytics API.
If you click on the Preview button it will open a new browser tab. This is where you can see what your live Virtual Tour looks like.
Use the snapshot button to save your images directly in high resolution (8192x4552px).
You can download/save a 3D panoramic photo.
You can download/save a 2D photo.
The Mini-Map Settings is where you can toggle the Mini-Map on or off, change the desktop position, change the popup size, toggle the show at start on or off, change the background colour, change the pointer colour, change the pointer icon, and toggle the sweep points.
Mini-Map: A miniature map that is only a small portion of the screen.
To change the Pointer Icon, click on the Choose File button on the right-side. This will open a window where you can find and select your image file.
Pointer: A graphic indicator used to show the current position/location on the Mini-Map.
