The Challenge

Our client, Mehboob Bangash Architects, required an accurate digital twin of a restaurant in Downtown Toronto for documentation and as a visualization tool in their renovations to become an IHOP restaurant. The firm needed accurate 3D scanning to create a highly detailed interior and exterior model of the building for collaboration with their team and their client, as well as comprehensive building plans to jumpstart their workflow.

Our Solution

Our team was selected to complete a full interior 3D scan and exterior scan of the exisiting conditions. We utilized advanced 3D scanning and drone technology to create a highly accurate and comprehensive digital twin of the restaurant, as well as capture close-up photos of the rooftop mechanical systems. In addition to delivering a 3D model of the space, we also created an architectural Revit (.rvt) Building Information Model (BIM) as well as detailed AutoCAD (.dwg) as-built floor plans, elevations, site plans, reflected ceiling plans, and roof plans. The comprehensive documentation and visualization tool also enabled easy collaboration with their team and discussions with the client about the project.
